After trying light painting It turned out to be one of my favorite shoots in photography. Indoor light painting takes a lot of practice and a lot of different shots to get the right picture. Many of these shots above consisted of light flares. One of these images consisted of two images together and that was the first beach one. That image I took a super exposed shot and a dark shot so I could light the shells while also making them look like they were lighting inside. In order to light paint you need to follow a few steps. Step one: Make sure the room you do light painting in is completely dark. Step Two: Set up camera on tripod and adjust your settings around ISO 200; f/11; 30″ but adjust accordingly. Step three: Focus on subject by shinning a flashlight of what you want to focus on. Step Four: Turn camera on manual (if not already) and take the shot. While the camera is taking the picture shine a flashlight on the parts of your shot that you want to light. Make sure to get close and do it fast so you can get it all in the shot. That is the end of the steps. Light Painting may take awhile to get the shot you want. It takes a few tries to figure out how to light and sometimes you may need to adjust the settings over and over. Just be patient and have fun with it.
